The 56th recipe I’ve made for this group is Italian Meatball Soup and can be found in the Whole 30 Cookbook on page 105. Margaret's post is here.
Ingredients: olive oil, onion, tomato paste, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, salt, granulated garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes, fire-roasted diced tomatoes, chicken bone broth, Swiss chard, ground pork, black pepper, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
Margaret picked this recipe for us this week as we are both craving hot comforting food on these cold wintery nights. It all goes together easily, and although it said to cook 25 minutes, I let it simmer for the better part of an afternoon to enhance the flavors. I made half a recipe which was enough for each of us to have two meals of it, it is quite filling. We would definitely like to have this again, the flavors are spicy but not too spicy, and it tastes like pizza in a bowl, definitely worthy of a repeat.
As usual here on this blog, I do not publish recipes that belong to others, respecting their rights as authors. Many times the recipe creators are generous and publish them online, or you can buy the book I that I have cited and have all the recipes at hand.
