The 57th recipe I made for the Cook the Book Fridays group using the Everyday Dorie cookbook by Dorie Greenspan is Dark Chocolate Pudding, it can be found on page 294.
Ingredients: milk, cream, sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, salt, eggs, chocolate, vanilla, and unsalted butter.
Chocolate Pudding is one of Mark’s favorites…I know, he has a lot of favorites but he was very happy when I said I was making this recipe for him. The whipped cream topping was optional...since he thinks every dessert tastes better topped with whipped cream, it didn't seem optional.
After lining everything up in their proper groupings before starting, I just followed the recipe exactly as she wrote it. It didn’t take long with the ingredients all in my refrigerator and pantry, so making it every now and again would be most welcome by Mark, which is why I make desserts in the first place. The recipe made 6 little bowls of pudding, he happily ate all six over several days, and is already looking forward to the next time. I would say that is a good recommendation. Apparently this is very good chocolate pudding.
