The fourth recipe I made for the Cook the Book Fridays group using the Everyday Dorie cookbook by Dorie Greenspan is Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies, it can be found on page 246.
Ingredients: flour, rolled oats, baking soda, sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, eggs, vanilla, butter, and chocolate.
The photo above is my husband’s favorite view of any day…he loves to see cookies cooling on the racks and usually helps himself to a couple straight out of the oven, no cooling needed. This is a nice recipe, it goes together quickly, I did park the formed cookie balls in the refrigerator for a couple of hours as she suggested, and baked them off during the break between the first two NCAA games today. Mark liked the cinnamon/oats/chocolate combination. I made a half batch as I have others things to bake for him to eat this week, hopefully these will last until I can get to the other baking this week. Definitely a repeat worthy recipe.
