This week we are cooking with Mushrooms, chosen by Nancy. Here is the recipe for Creamy Mushroom Pasta I chose if you would like to make it for yourself: click here.
The ingredients: mushrooms, butter, olive oil, garlic, wine, chicken broth, cream, parmesan, and fettuccine (optional parsley but I didn’t have any on hand so I skipped the parsley this time).
I followed the recipe and was very happy with all of it for ease and taste. I like that, although it is a creamy sauce, it seemed very light and was not swimming in the sauce. All in all, a very good use of mushrooms with things that we all more or less have routinely on hand in frig and pantry. Best of all, my pasta-mushroom-loving husband enjoyed it very much. Definitely worthy of repeat status.

Next up is Rutabaga, chosen by Ulrike, posting date on February 26. If you would like to join in, just leave a link to your post in any of the comment sections of the participants and we will come and see what you made.
