My twenty-seventh recipe with Wednesday with Donna Hay is Pasta with Tomato, Basil, and Olives, found in her cookbook Off the Shelf: Cooking from the Pantry,
p. 18.
The ingredient list: fettuccine, olive oil, onion, garlic, tomatoes, black olives, basil, salt, and pepper.
Pasta is something the guys could eat every single night and not complain. Pasta with some sort of red sauce is a particular favorite so it was no surprise that this dish was a hit and one I would make again and again. It goes together easily, quickly, and tastes fresh with all the tomato goodness you hope for in a red sauce. The olives give it a nice kick. I'm ready for my nice fresh basil plants of summer, the supermarket basil just leaves a little to be desired. Definitely a repeat.
Wonder what the others thought? Gaye's post on this is here. Margaret's post is here. Chaya's post is here.
