The recipe for this week forTuesdays with Dorie: Baking with Julia is Popovers on page 213 of Baking with Julia. You can also find the recipe on the blogs of the hostesses for this week, Paula of Vintage Kitchen Notes here, or Amy of Bake with Amy, here. The recipe was contributed to the book by baker Marion Cunningham.
Popovers are so easy to make, why don't we make them more often? A few
ingredients tossed into the blender, poured into a pan, baked, and
done! They also lend themselves to lots of different add-ins. I made
them as stated, no add-ins so I could see how much I liked this
particular recipe, and I did like it very much, making a half batch
which fit into 4 wells of my popover pan perfectly.
These are just such
fun to make. I served them with a little apricot jam because one
cannot have near enough excuses to serve things with apricot jam in
life. Tasty and delicious, just what one is looking for in a recipe.
