Thanks to Sarah, from Teapots and Cakestands, for her pick of Strawberry Rhubarb Double Crisp, found on pages 420-421 of Dorie Greenspan's Baking from My Home to Yours cookbook. Click here for the recipe.
We are big Crisp fans here, fruit desserts are always popular with this crowd, and strawberries and rhubarb are just a match made in heaven so I knew we were going to love this recipe. We did. Top Five for sure. (I can hear Nancy laughing from here as she reads this as I have about 50 Top Fives.)
The only thing I changed was to leave out the nuts...my guys are not big fans of nuts in fruit things. That doesn't mean you need to leave them out, though, so click on over and get the recipe and make a batch for yourself...if you can't find fresh rhubarb, a package of frozen rhubarb works just as well. Yes, it does. Definitely a repeat.
