We always called these cookies Mexican Wedding Cakes and Mark's family always called them Pecan Crescents because his mother used to shape in them in a half-moons. Whatever name you call them, these are always a favorite around here and Dorie's recipe is excellent. They are light and crunchy and melt on your tongue. The powdered sugar adds a little extra sweetness and fancies them up a bit. Definitely a repeat.
