When Mike got the email letting him know that it was his turn to host the TWD recipe, he was on Twitter and tweeted such asking for suggestions, "or should I just pick the one that I first opened the book to?" I voted for that idea as it was these scones!
Thanks for picking them, Mike, these were really wonderful. I made them once, we ate them all, forgot the photos, so I made them again and I have to say, these are definitely worthy of repeating again numerous times. One can find this recipe here, or buy the book and you can have them all!
The almond flavor in these scones comes from ground almonds, chopped almonds, sliced almonds, and almond extract...such a wealth of goodness! Definitely a repeat.
