The sixth recipe that I made from Bake! by Nick Malgieri was the New Orleans Praline Pound Cake, found on pages 138-139. It was Phyl's turn to choose a recipe and since he is a big fan of pound cakes, and they were going to be using them for a fondue party, he selected this one for us all to make.
The batter went together easily and was light and fluffy (click here to see Phyl's post which shows the batter). Ingredient list: flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest, cinnamon, rum, and pecans. Everything in it to taste very praline-ish New Orleans-ish!
I thought the pound cake was delicious and Mark particularly enjoyed having it to take in his lunches this week. I'm sure we would enjoy having it again.
