The ninth recipe that I made from Bake! by Nick Malgieri was Florida Brownies, found on pages 198-199.
It wasn't really my turn to pick a Twitter recipe as we are supposed to be doing Margaret's pick, but Margaret has a lot on her plate this week, so we postponed her choice of Danish Cheese Pockets (p.113) until next weekend. In the meantime, my guys wanted something chocolate, and these looked like a fine way to provide that for them. Leslie joined in this week as well because there has never been a brownie recipe that Leslie is not fully onboard with joining in...she is just that fond of brownie type things.
Ingredient list: sugar, flour, butter, eggs, salt, vanilla, and unsweetened chocolate.
It all comes together quickly and easily and bakes for 35 minutes. After it cools, the brownies go into the refrigerator overnight before they are cut and eaten.
Mark and Matt thought these were very tasty and would happily eat them anytime I care to make them, which means anytime. They were a big hit here. Definitely a repeat.
