We like pizza around here...I always think of pizza as sort of guy food, teen food, kid food, so those groups being well-represented, chances of making and serving a pizza to everyone's satisfaction is pretty good. This pizza was no exception. The guys loved it. The girl? Well, let's just say that I have been making homemade crusts from various yeast doughs recently and am becoming rather spoiled in the pizza crust department. This recipe uses one of those pre-made pizza crusts that comes in a tube in the refrigerated section of the grocery market. Not my favorite.
The toppings were fine, caramelized onions, mushrooms, garlic, cheese, tomato sauce, and I did sub roasted peppers for the sun-dried tomatoes because, well because, sun-dried tomatoes here fall into the "chick food" category for some reason and the guys don't particularly like them...read that the guys pick them out and toss them aside, so no real reason to be putting those on in the first place. I also left off the basil on the top because we are just really tired of basil right now.
It was a good pizza, not a great pizza because of the crust, but a good pizza.
