The recipe chosen this week for CEiMB, using Ellie Krieger's book So Easy, was selected by Margaret from Tea and Scones and is Garlic Basil Shrimp, found on page 151.
It's always great fun to get to make a recipe that a friend has chosen, so I enjoyed making this one knowing that Margaret was making it also and enjoying it. Margaret is from Louisiana, she's naturally inclined toward all shrimp recipes and there are many really great ones on her blog. We all love shrimp here, and we enjoyed this recipe very much.
The ingredient list is not long: shrimp, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, dry white wine, grape tomatoes, basil, salt & pepper. It is all brought together in an easy and quick manner and served over orzo, one of Matt's favorite pastas.
Like so many Ellie recipes, the taste is just wonderfully fresh and delicious. Definitely another keeper. Mark said, "Ooh, you can make this one again any time." High praise indeed.
