Thanks to Kait of Kait's Plate for her Tuesdays with Dorie pick of My Best Chocolate Chip Cookies, found on page 68 of Dorie Greenspan's Baking from My Home to Yours cookbook. Kait has the recipe posted on her site today.
Not much to say about chocolate chip cookies as most everyone has been there, done that, and in the case of some of my fellow TWD and Twitter baking buddies, there was a whole lot of chocolate chip cookie dough being made these past two weeks as many of them were running a taste test with various versions of chocolate chip cookie recipes. Dorie's recipe is a lot like the Tollhouse cookie recipe, and the guys here loved them.
They loved that they were thin enough to be crunchy and there were a lot of chocolate chips in each one. The recipe called for pecans or walnuts. They chose pecans. The cookies disappeared overnight, literally. These were a hit at our house, a definite keeper, and yes, there will be return after return to this recipe as long as the boys are requesting them, which they have been...over and over.
Next week: Michelle from Flourchild has chosen Honey-Wheat Cookies, found on page 81. TWD blogroll found here.
