These little beauties have been making me smile all week...little flowering bits here and there all popping up and adding colorful spots throughout our landscaping...I look forward to it every year.
Well, we made it through the weekend with most of our goals accomplished, and some accomplished that we didn't even know we had at the beginning.
Spring cleaning: 4 rooms (The Men's Den; the Den; and two half baths)...we didn't get the 5th one done (the Laundry Room) as someone was inspired to go through ALL the books in the book cases to determine if there were indeed some books that could be gifted elsewhere. Did you get that...through all the shelves, through every single book (some two deep on the shelves), throughout the entire shelving system(s) we have here at the house. I'm not complaining as it feels really good to have all that done, and it isn't often we actually get motivated enough to take on that little chore and see it through, so I am happy that he was so inspired on Saturday. (It helped tremendously that most of the bookcases are located fairly close to the television, and therefore the NCAA games.)
So, I am feeling really good today about all that. I'm also feeling pretty good because I am currently 4th in the NCCA basketball pool that Mark's office runs...and since you asked, Mark, Matt, and Alex are all TIED for 34th. I'm just saying...I'm in a good position this year...I have actually won it once, Mark has won it once, and Alex has won it once and been in the top three a couple of times. And, I ALWAYS do all my own picks with no help or input from anyone else, just in case you were wondering and all.
A fair amount of yard work was completed.
I didn't quite get my book finished, so the transcontinental is still in the Sierras.
All in all, it was a great weekend...various people in and out, various fun things to do, and all this sunshine making our grass green, the leaves sprouting out in varying colors, and even some flowers blooming, is contributing greatly to my general attitude about the weather!
Hope you all had a great weekend...gotta go as the timer on the oven just beeped and my TWD dessert for tomorrow is done...all I can say is that it smells like blueberries, warm sugar, and vanilla throughout the house. Don't you wish you were here? Me, too, I wish you were here as well!
