The Carmel High School Girl's Swimming & Diving Team captured is 23rd consecutive IHSAA State Championship this afternoon at the IU Natatorium. The win establishes a new National Record for consecutive state championships by all female sports. The Hounds did not disappoint the hundreds of loyal supporters that packed the east side of the Nat.

200 Yard Freestyle Champion: Logan Mason (1:48.99) - New School Record
200 Yard Individual Medley Champion: Trish Regan (2:01.83) - New School Record
50 Yard Freestyle Champion: Megan Detro (:23.47)
100 Yard Butterfly: Jessie Hammes prelim time of :54.50 was a New School Record
500 Yard Freestyle Champion: Lauren Jordan (4:53.95)
200 Yard Freestyle Relay Champions: Megan Detro, Jessie Hammes, Logan Mason, Trish Regan (1:31.75) - New School, State, and National High School Record
100 Yard Backstroke Champion: Jessie Hammes (:55.29) - time of :55.02 in prelims was a School Record
100 Yard Breaststroke: Lauren Stauder finals swim of 1:02.84 - New School Record
400 Yard Freestyle Relay Champions: Carly Marshall, Logan Mason, Rhiannon Sheets, and Trish Regan (3:24.22) - New School and State Record
In total, the girls captured all three relay championships, 5 individual championships, set 9 School Records, 3 State Records, and 2 National Records. The point total of 427 was the most scored by a girl's team in IHSAA history. Head Coach, Chris Plumb won the Coach of the Year Award and Senior Jessie Hammes won the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award.
