My little dwarf Magnolia tree in the backyard that Mark planted for my birthday a few years ago is blooming! The last couple of years it had only a handful of flowers on it in the spring, but was nicely green all summer. This year: Surprise! A huge amount of flowers...isn't it exciting? Well, okay, maybe not for you...but I am very excited with all the blooms this year.
Here is a ten minute post as I have been out and back and out and back again already this morning and need to be back out and working by 10:00. A beautiful day here, absolutely beautiful, and lots to smile about. Have a great day!
READING: Still reading the Bismarck book from last week.
LISTENING TO: Neil Young's Harvest album...an oldie but goodie. Harvest Moon and Heart of Gold being my favorites from this album. The man is amazing...his list of songs is endless!
FAV NEW FIND: Chenille yarn...oh, this is so soft...I just love the feel of it on my fingertips when I am knitting with it...I am going to make a throw as I can just feel how wonderful it would be to have across my lap when I am reading by the fireplace in the winter. Love it.
FAV THING TODAY; Old friends...and I mean OLD...right, Jeff? Happy Birthday, Old Friend...talk to you at 9:00 p.m. tonight...really, hopefully by 9:00 p.m. and not 10:00 p.m. Mark will be back from golfing by then, too, so you get twice the hassle about your advancing age.
SCRAPBOOK PAGES THIS WEEK; Six events...don't know how many pages as I forgot to count, but at least 12 pages. Workshops are great for getting one's self organized and headed in the right direction.
GOING TO: Confirmation at SEAS, Water Safety Training Seminar, West Side Story at Guerin, CSC Banquet Brunch, swimming, choir, golfing, scouting trip for Alex, and whatever else we can fit in the tween (and yes, that is so a word, look it up if you don't believe me).
PRAYING FOR: The Confirmation candidates, please join me.
