This is what greeted me as I drove to Guerin this afternoon to retrieve Matt from the halls of learning. Bishop Higi visited the school this morning and announced the big honor for Guerin and presented them with the fancy banner that will be hung in the school and this little sign for out front. Everyone was very very excited. Matt said they all got ice cream at lunch and are being treated to a pizza party for lunch on Friday. Even better, according to the students, is that they get a half day off of school the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. What does this honor mean? Out of 1200 Catholic Schools nationwide, 50 were selected for top honors. Guerin was one of the fifty. Not bad for a school that is only four years old.
