The 2007 Hamilton County 4-H Fair is now history...we can begin working on projects for the 2008 Hamilton County 4-H Fair. Today the 4-Hers all came to pick up their projects to take home...this photo is as many of the 4-Star 4-Hers that we could round up in one place at one time...Matt and many of the girls...the guys were all scarce today, all occupied elsewhere, many of the other families on vacation.
Sammie and Meg were delighted with their blue and honors in scrapbooking...posing with big smiles with their albums, hoping I would post them on my blog today...so, girls...here you go!
The final photo is Miss Caitlin who is just the most darling of girls and she is displaying the rosary Matt brought back for her from Italy from the Vatican, blessed by the Pope. He even picked her favorite color...a light purple; she was delighted. Each year on the ICC trips, Matt shops for something special for Caitlin who is the oldest of six children and just a blessing to everyone who knows her.
Now, about the end of the fair food...Matt went over with me to work at the scrapbook checkout from 4-6...it followed both a morning and afternoon swim practice today (with the Harry Potter movie sandwiched between the two...transporting Matt and any number of swimmers to and from various activities between swim times is becoming rather time consuming these days...today there were 8 of them, 5 in my car) and in that time, here is what he had to eat at the fairgrounds (don't tell Ian)...a pulled pork barbecue sandwich, a lemon shake up, a walking taco, a large chocolate milkshake, a strawberry slushie, and another pulled pork sandwich. I am thinking even a swimmer cannot get by with this much consumption, so it is a good thing fair is ending several days before state swimming championships. When we pulled out of the parking lot he said, "I wish I had gotten another pork sandwich as those are so good!" Good golly. As I type this, he is scooping up ice cream for a bedtime snack...it's a good thing he has a long practice tomorrow.
