The ingredient list: asparagus, olive oil, unsalted butter, balsamic vinegar, and cracked black pepper.
Simple, simple, simple and the flavors are just wonderful together, that browned butter with the balsamic vinegar pairs wonderfully well with the asparagus, giving it a nutty flavor which rounds out the acid in the vinegar. Delicious, easy enough for any meal, and one which I will definitely make again and again (we eat a lot of asparagus here). And, yeah, that portion above was not near enough for the two of us, make plenty!!
