A little everyday chit chat around the table...like we all used to do around my Grandmothers' tables when I was growing up. A little of this...a little of that...nothing too special...but as the years pass, all of it seems so. Come, sit at the Table, contribute, enjoy, stay as long as you want, leave when you need to, and return often!
Why: Because we haven't been out together to just run around having fun for a whole lotta weeks, and we both missed just doing that, so we planned an entire day!
Saturday was a real treat for me...more so than usual as I have been housebound for a couple of months.
Since the Hoosiers were playing at home in Bloomington, of course that seemed the natural direction as the starting point. It was a beautiful sunny day, the drive down was very nice with time to chat, etc. The Hoos ended up losing the game, but that was not a damper as this year we are just in it for the watching-the-growth taking place...so, from that standpoint, it was a good game.
We got to have lunch at the Limestone Grille, always lovely. As we were by the mall, we did some shopping, and even saw a movie. Since the game ended at 6:30, we decided to just head out of town and eat dinner further north...college town restaurants are always packed after games! A great decision. After a nice dinner, and more basketball on tv...it was declared that this had been one very fine day.
It felt so good to be out and about! A great day: start to finish.
Hoo/Hawk game on Wednesday night...they play in Hooville at 6:30...see you there!
